The Location
Blending Edwardian grandeur with modern comfort, The Waldorf Hilton hotel sits in the centre of London’s glitzy theatre district. The jewel in the crown of their hospitality offering is the Homage restaurant. With striking columns, sparkling chandeliers and gilded detail, Homage pays tribute to the grand cafes of Europe and provides an intimate space away from the commotion of the city. Dishes match the decor, with mouth-watering menus delivering classic English fare. Tempered with a modern European twist, exquisitely presented and full of taste and texture.
The Project
When Hilton Hotels decided to update the interiors of this location, they turned to the Joanna Knight Interiors team for help. Collaborating with them on this project, our goal was to create a modern European interior design that reflected the brand’s commitment to quality and style, while also providing guests with a comfortable and inviting space to relax in.
To achieve this, Joanna Knight Interiors worked closely with Hilton Hotels to understand their specific needs and requirements. Using that information to inform the design process. Chosing a modern European style that was both sophisticated and functional. Using high-quality materials and finishes to create an environment that was both stylish and practical.
The Bespoke Furniture
One of the key features of the new interior design was the bespoke upholstery solution that our team at Kirkdale Studios provided. Designed by the team at Joanna Knight Interiors, they perfectly compliment the decadence of the setting that countless diners have enjoyed since opening in 1908.
Our team of expert craftsmen worked to create custom-made furniture that was both comfortable and attractive, using only the finest materials and finishes. The result was a cohesive and inviting interior design that reflected Hilton Hotels’ commitment to quality and style.
