Discover the bespoke restaurant furniture we supplied for a Japanese restaurant in Kyiv.
Kirkdale Studios recently contributed to the lively Kyiv restaurant scene by providing bespoke side chairs to a GO Japanese Cuisine, a new restaurant in the Ukrainian capital.
The Project
There is something undeniably special about seeing a new space come to life, especially when it is built on a foundation of passion, tradition and resilience. We are thrilled to share a closer look at one of our recent projects in Kyiv: Go Japanese Cuisine, a new dining spot on Observatornaya Street.
We had the privilege of supplying and designing the bespoke furniture for this project, working within an interior vision crafted by AKZ Architects, a renowned Kyiv-based interior design studio. Their concept beautifully balances raw materials with refined details, where natural wood complements the metal accents found throughout the space.
The Furniture
Central to our contribution was the Polo side chair, a piece that anchors the restaurant’s aesthetic. We customized these chairs with a sleek chrome finish that catches the ambient light, contrasting sharply with the warm timber surroundings. They are upholstered in a rich, brown plaid fabric that adds texture and character to the interior.
The Restaurant
While we handled the seating, the team at Go Japanese Cuisine is handling the fire. The restaurant is making waves with its unique approach to the culinary arts, adapting traditional dishes with high-quality local ingredients.
Under the guidance of Chef Anton Hryhoruk, the kitchen comes alive with the scent of yakitori grilling on an open fire and the comfort of handmade gyoza. It is a place where the atmosphere we helped build meets the artistry of the kitchen, a perfect harmony of design and taste.
It’s hard to discuss a new opening in Kyiv without noting the current reality. Despite the difficulties of the past few years, the city remains active and determined. Launching a restaurant right now is a testament to that resilience, a clear sign that the local economy is moving forward and that daily life continues.
We are incredibly proud to have contributed to the lively Kyiv restaurant scene alongside AKZ Architects, and we cannot wait for the next, exciting international hospitality project.
