The grand archway of Farmer J’s 12th venue has been a welcoming sight for Bloomsbury locals and visitors alike since its official opening in October 2024. Set on bustling High Holborn, this site blends the energy of Central London with a sense of grounded comfort. It’s a thoughtfully curated space that brings together exceptional food and design in equal measure.
The interior is the result of a creative partnership between Australian design studio Biasol and London-based firm Holland Harvey, who together have crafted a restaurant space that is both modern and organic, with warm, understated sophistication. The design reflects Farmer J’s ethos: bold, honest, and full of flavor.
Upon entering the space, guests are greeted by hand-rendered concrete walls that evoke the tactile quality of natural textures and the rugged authenticity of honest cooking. These surfaces are brought to life with Farmer J’s playful slogans and mantras, adding personality and charm to the walls without overpowering the aesthetic. The raw concrete contrasts beautifully with a curated collection of handmade tiles in a trendy, muted colour palette — dusty greens, burnt sienna, earthy taupes — creating a layered visual experience that feels both fresh and grounded.
The furnishings and layout have been designed with flexibility and hospitality in mind.
