Expanding it’s reach, Farmer J has opened its 14th restaurant to bring fresh foods to Farringdon.
The Location
Situated just outside the station, Farmer J’s 14th location at Farringdon is a clear reflection of the brand’s core values—honesty, warmth, and a deep connection to natural materials. Designed by Holland Harvey, the interior embraces a raw, rustic aesthetic, brought to life through earthy greens and muted oranges accompanied by plants to echo the natural world.
The layout and material choices reflect a deliberate effort to create a visually appealing setting. It’s a space designed to encourage a moment of pause—somewhere to catch your breath, meet a friend, or simply enjoy the surroundings. Sustainability and style sit comfortably side by side here, each element carefully for its aesthetic contribution and its impact on the environment.
Bespoke Furniture
Key pieces such as the K-Suzy Stool play an essential role in shaping the overall tone of the space. With its clean, understated form, and emphasis on comfort, the stool contributes to a clean atmosphere. Thoughtfully chosen furnishings and subtle design touches create a sense of cohesion, allowing the space to feel carefully curated yet effortlessly relaxed.
By taking inspiration from a traditional farmer’s stool, the K-Suzy Stool pays homage to the farmers providing the food at Farmer J’s. Its form creates a subtle but meaningful link between the furniture at Farringdon and Farmer J’s farm-to-food philosophy, quietly reinforcing the brand identity. At the same time, the stool’s clean silhouette aligns seamlessly with the restaurant’s modern yet rustic aesthetic. It bridges the gap between heritage and contemporary design, offering both comfort and character while complementing the space’s bright but natural colours. In essence, the K-Suzy Stool functions not just as seating, but as a storytelling element—supporting the overall narrative of a place where thoughtful design meets purposeful living.
Sustainable Furniture
In alignment with Farmer J’s strong commitment to sustainability, we were proud to provide Foresso No Chip Table Tops for this project. These surfaces represent an ideal match for the brand’s principles. As a zero-waste product, manufactured using timber offcuts that would otherwise go unused, and with wood sourced responsibly within the UK these table tops are more than suited. The No Chip Table Tops displays a clean block of colour that enhances the selected colour palette whilst having exceptional durability and performance for a high-traffic hospitality setting.
The overall effect is a calm, considered environment that invites people to pause, connect, and enjoy a moment of stillness amid the energy of the city. Whether stopping in briefly or settling in for longer, visitors are met with a space that feels as thoughtful as it is functional—a true extension of Farmer J’s mindful hand-picked approach. Every design element, from the warm natural textures to the intuitive layout, is carefully curated to promote ease and comfort. Soft lighting, added greenery, and inviting communal tables create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages conversation and reflection.
