At EL&N, the most ‘instagrammable’ café in London, every detail counts. Discover how our bespoke furniture brought comfort, style and durability to one of London’s most iconic modern hospitality venues.
The El&n Park Lane Project
We are delighted to share our recent contribution to the re-design of EL&N’s original location in Park Lane, designed by the talented team at Holland Harvey. Known for their iconic interiors and instantly recognisable aesthetic, EL&N’s Park Lane space has been carefully reimagined to elevate both atmosphere and comfort, and we were proud to play a part in bringing the new design to life through our bespoke hospitality furniture solutions.
The Bespoke Furniture
We were tasked with creating pieces that combined durability with refined detailing. For this project, we supplied the elegant Giotto dining chairs, chosen for their versatility and comfort, alongside our bespoke K-Komi collection of stone and timber table tops paired with custom metal bases. To complement the scheme, we also designed and manufactured our striking Lumo table which combines a marble-effect cone base with a brass inlaid stone quartzite top, offering both sculptural appeal and long-lasting performance for a busy hospitality setting.
The Bespoke Banquettes
A highlight of our work at EL&N Park Lane was the design and manufacture of three bespoke banquettes, tailored precisely to the café’s layout and guest experience.
Basement banquettes: Two large banquettes were crafted for the lower ground floor, featuring elegant vertical panelled backs. Each was built on a tiled plinth with a capping detail, incorporating planter space for greenery. We also integrated LED strip lighting, subtly illuminating the plinth and back panels to create a warm, welcoming glow.
Ground floor banquette: The third banquette was positioned upstairs by the front counter and designed for a more interactive, flexible use of space. Built on a unique metal frame, it incorporates round integrated tables—perfect for resting a coffee while waiting. The seat and backrest feature a bullnosed timber backing, securing the upholstery while referencing the marble and timber table tops downstairs, tying together the material palette across levels.
Through these elements, we demonstrated our expertise in bespoke banquette seating and the role it plays in elevating the hospitality experience.
The El&n Aesthetic
EL&N is renowned worldwide for its distinctive interiors and instantly recognisable branding. With a feminine colour palette of soft pinks and pastels, paired with playful design details, EL&N cafés are celebrated as some of the most Instagrammable interiors in the world. Each space is carefully curated to be visually captivating while also offering comfort and practicality for guests.
From its London beginnings, EL&N has become a truly global hospitality brand, opening new cafés and restaurants across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Each new venue adapts to its local context while maintaining the signature design language that has made EL&N a favourite with visitors worldwide. The Park Lane project continues this tradition, combining their unique aesthetic with Kirkdale Studios’ bespoke contract furniture to deliver a cohesive and memorable space.
The result at EL&N Park Lane is a beautifully executed interior that balances aesthetics, durability, and guest comfort. Every item of bespoke café furniture we supplied was designed not only to reflect the brand’s style but also to withstand the demands of a busy hospitality environment.
