Since opening its doors in 2003, Benares has established itself as a cornerstone of Mayfair’s fine dining scene. The philosophy behind its culinary approach is both simple and profound: to celebrate the vibrant flavours of Indian cuisine using seasonal British ingredients. The result is a unique gastronomic fusion that honours the past while embracing the present. Each dish reflects a story of nostalgia, creativity, and modern sophistication, delivered with a touch of flair and playfulness. Menus change with the seasons, offering guests a new experience on every visit.
BAO is a brand rooted in story, charm and creativity; with each new restaurant exploring a new aspect of Asian food culture and flavour. Their logo and mascot, the lonely man, epitomises both the seriousness and the wit found in the world BAO have created and their latest opening of BAO City in the Bloomberg Arcade follows in the same footsteps. BAO city is a place to quietly find fulfilment over a bowl of lonely noodles or sing your heart out in one of the two flagship karaoke rooms.
The Stafford Hotel is a true icon of St James’s, with a history as rich as its luxurious interiors. Its story begins in the 17th century, when numbers 16–18 St James’s Place were originally built as private residences. Over the years, these buildings have hosted a fascinating array of characters, from Lord and Lady Lyttelton to Lady Lyttelton’s service as a nanny to Queen Victoria’s children. By 1912, these historic homes were transformed into what we now know as The Stafford Hotel, a masterpiece of timeless charm and sophistication.
